I'm back again with yet another Korean beauty review and this round it's about J.ONE!
TBH there are so so many kbeauty around and I have a hard time keeping up with all of them but apparently, J.ONE is something to note down because it is a reputable brand that has a cult following!
J.ONE was created in June 2015 with it focused on being nature-friendly and it entered Sephora US (both online and offline in 300 outets) in 2016. Its products fall under skincare category, made for women on the go by incorporating skincare and creating the perfect base for a flawless canvas. I like that the fact that these products are free of Parabens, Synthetic Dyes & Fragrances, Mineral Oils.
It's best selling products are Jelly Pack and Hana Cream - both of which I have the opportunity to get my hands on and shall be reviewing today!
On top of that, I will also be trying out the Jelly Pack Vita Mask as I also got them together from Beureka.
J.ONE JELLY PACK 50ML
The star product of the brand, Jelly Pack is basically a "multitasking, anti-aging formula that works as a hydrating morning mask and makeup-gripping primer". It also can be used as a sleeping mask at night for a fresh, rejuvenated skin in the morning.
Created by Korean actress Ha Ji-won (from Secret Garden Korean drama series fame), she said she wanted to create a fuss-free product so that it saves time for her morning routine, instead of spending hours prepping before a shoot. Her enviable skin is proof that she takes her skin seriously thus after spending many months in one of Korea's top labs, she finally created her dream product and decided to share it with the world!

It is said to be suitable for all skin types, and with me having dry combination + sensitive skin, I fully agree. It has a very thick gel-like consistency and has a clear, scent-free finish. If you watched the video above or by clicking this link, you can see that Ha Ji-won pumped about 5 times on the back of her hand for a full face application. She mentioned that she uses it as a hydrating mask without washing it off and uses sunblock once she massages it into her skin.
So I'm guessing she replaces her moisturizer step with this product as it is a leave-on mask and makeup primer in one. As for me, it takes about 10-15 minutes for the gel to dry down so I don't really agree with it made for busy people - because I need the gel to dry before I apply my makeup. However, if I think from the angle of skipping all the other face serums in between (after toner, before sunscreen) and only using this mask for ultimate hydration - then yes it is about the same duration of having many steps all scaled down into just one. Aside from hydration, this jelly pack also promotes skin firmness, which combats signs of aging like fine lines and wrinkles (as Ji-won demonstrates in the video).
Some interesting ingredients to note --
Fullerene: Super-powered antioxidant that protects against free radicals.
Hyaluronic Acid: Hydrates and bonds water the skin for a plumper appearance.
Chamomile Flower Water: Soothes and hydrates.
Personally, I have only used this a few times so I can only give you my first impression of this product instead of a full review for now.
So far I have used it as a makeup primer and yes it does make my foundation last longer throughout the day. I do realize that my skin does glow naturally (just like Ha Ji-won) but honestly, I don't enjoy waiting for the mask to dry down, especially when I'm pressed for time.
I'm assuming I can only use this mask only when I do have 15 minutes to spare in the morning (which is rare). But I am keen to continue using this product regularly so that I can get skin like the creator, Ha Ji-won herself!

J.ONE HANA CREAM
After Jelly Pack was made and received a cult following, Ji-won went on the create Hana Cream - a night moisturizer filled with anti-aging goodness for the skin to replenish itself at night. Its contents are made in the shape spherical pearls, which makes product estimation and hygiene an idiot-proof process. The jar comes with a spatula to make scooping out so much easier.
Some key ingredients worth noting --
Fullerene: Super-powered antioxidant that protects against free radicals.
Sunflower Oil: Rich in vitamins, nutrients, and carotenoids, which provide a brightening effect.Macadamia Seed Oil: Hydrates.
Peptides: Create a plumper, firmer appearance.
One would think night moisturizers to be on the heavier, oilier side but this moisturizer is moderately oily - in fact, it gives a soft velvety finish with a hint of baby powder scent after application. As I have yet to see long terms effects of this, I'm still glad to report that my sensitive skin did not break out or see any irritation upon using this product.

The latest creation of the three, Jelly Pack Vita Mask is a sheet mask filled with hydration and anti-aging goodness in one! There are two steps for this mask - which also includes a small sachet of Jelly Pack as the second step. If you are interested to try Jelly Pack before purchasing, do consider getting this mask first so that you get to sample it!
I find myself reaching for this sheet mask often as I enjoy the "after-glow" effect it gives me. Best to use it before a big event to give your skin the natural glow it needs.
