Murad City Screen Age Defense Mineral Sunscreen

I've used Murad products and I particularly like using the Invisiblur as a sunscreen and makeup primer. Though it is pricey, I can attest that it is worth every penny because Murad is well-known to deliver great results overtime.

So when the opportunity came to review the new City Screen Age Defense Mineral Sunscreen, I was naturally delighted! This sunscreen comes in SPF 50 PA ++++ which is quite common in a sunscreen for tropical climates such as Malaysia.

As you might already know, sunscreen is a vital part for keeping your skin youthful as the sun causes a lot of unwarranted damage to the skin. Thus it is the most important last step of every morning skincare routine, especially before leaving the house.

Aside from protecting the skin from harmful UV rays from the sun, this sunscreen is also made for office people in mind, those who do not face the sun directly but computer screens for long hours on a daily basis. It's made with Environment Protection Technology that shield the skin from 5 main causes of skin aging:

  • Blue Light from devices
  • Pollution
  • Infrared Radiation
  • UVA
  • UVB

This lightweight formula works well on all skin tones and absorbs quickly into the skin with no ashy residue unlike other mineral sunscreens. I've tried the Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection for Sensitive Skin, and it left an unsightly white cast on me, which I did not like at all. I like this Murad one because it leaves a luminous, pearlized finish which works well under makeup or worn alone.
No ghostly white cast when I'm not wearing any makeup!

The sunscreen liquid comes in a soft peach tint infused with Vitamin C to help brighten skin, even skin tone, and correct sun damage. What's great about this mineral sunscreen is its ingredients are safe for sensitive skin and the formula is fragrance free. This product is also safe to be used around the eye area.

So far, I'm liking this sunscreen a lot as it doesn't break my dry sensitive skin out nor does it leave a white cast behind. I do not find this sunscreen greasy either, which is great!
