Ah, Penang. It's my beloved hometown and it's a place where I can think about the best of both worlds, the beach and the city. Often times, I stay over at my grandma's place during my vacay thus I don't get the chance to experience hotels as much when in Penang.
Last November, I was reallyyyyy fortunate to be invited to experience Hard Rock Hotel Penang's newly refurbished rooms. You could say I was OVER THE MOON because I have always envied the people staying in the most beautiful and luxurious hotel in Penang! I only managed to enjoy sightseeing at the hotel whenever I visit there, always wishing that I could experience it for myself one day..... and THAT DAY has finally arrived!
This hotel is built on the love of rock music. So if you are born around The Beetles, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Nick's era, you'd definitely appreciate everything Hard Rock has to offer!

MEMORABILIA TOUR
After showing us all their room types, Hard Rock then took us on a memorabilia tour. It is interesting to know that all items are either donated by the artiste or won in an auction.
The memorabilia are displayed in two locations: the hotel lobby and Hard Rock Cafe (next to the hotel). The items are not only limited to clothings, artistes have also donated their personal guitars as part of the attraction in Hard Rock.
As you can see above, my bf is very fond of rock music and its history. I can attest that he was the one feeling most excited about this staycation at Hard Rock lol.
MY STAYCATION EXPERIENCE
We checked into a Rock Royalty Seaview Deluxe Room with Balcony, which means we had access to Rock Royalty floor (which spells FOOD)!! Here are some pics of the room we stayed in...

I cannot stress enough that the whole experience of our staycation is ENHANCED by this powerful mini bluetooth speaker.
Why?
Because it can connect to your smartphone/laptop and play Spotify!
The sound quality is SUPERIOR and I can honestly feel like I'm living in a concert hall throughout the whole stay.
Also a DVD player on standby! There is also a great variety of pre-installed movies on the Smart TV too. Movie buffs will def appreciate this!
Oh yes, seamless wifi experience too available in our room!
What's great about this TV is that it also has a LIVE STREAM of their Hard Rock Cafe daily performances during 10pm onwards!!!
Like I said earlier, I was OVER THE MOON when I stepped into Hard Rock Penang.
Could not ask for a better hotel when in Penang.

As you enter the 6th floor, this is what greets you near the lift.
This is the lounge where you will be hanging out for drinks and refreshments.
If you have Rock Royalty privilege, you have the option to have breakfast either at the lounge or Starz Diner.

Business Centre
I also used their business centre to get my boarding tickets printed and I like how well-equipped it is! There is a whole shelf dedicated to book lovers too.
TABU Teens Club
If you have some DJ or guitar skills, be sure to also check out the Teens Club room! They have 24 Fender guitars for you to utilize and there is also a DJ set where they teach you complimentary basic DJ skills!

LOCATION
Hard Rock Hotel is located in the middle (the most happening part) of Batu Ferringhi area. It is situated very near its popular night market and it is about 15-20 minutes drive away from town. With the ease of Uber and GrabCar around, you do not need to worry if you are not driving around Penang.
All in all, I would definitely stay here again during my next trip to Penang, if given the chance to. I love the environment and hospitality of its staff.
