It's been awhile since I last did a skincare review so here's one before the year ends!
I have dry, dehydrated skin and I'm glad that this one came in time right before Christmas! It's a Canadian cult beauty brand that got many beauty enthusiasts from all around the world namely UK, Australia and MALAYSIA all gushing in awe!
I was given 3 hydration products from Indeed Labs to try: a sheet mask, a tube of serum and a tub of moisturizer. All of which are called HYDRALURON, which is the hydrating line of Indeed Labs.
So let's cut to the chase and get into the review, shall we?
The Indeed Labs Story
Dia Foley was working in a high definition digital technology environment where she realized that its visual clarity magnifies every pore, line and perceived imperfection. Turning to the in studio makeup person, she thought aloud,
"Wouldn't it be great to achieve that soft, camera lens filter effect applied directly to the surface of your face?"
Out of the need for instant, flawless, HD ready skin, the cosmetic game changer nanoblur™ was born and Indeed Labs began. Foley sits now as Indeed Labs VP of Sales & Marketing.
Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Mask
What it is:
Inspired by Swiss hyaluronic injection treatments, the mask works to restore skin's optimum hydration levels, providing less invasive, more affordable treatment that fits easily into our beauty regime. It is made with breakthrough 3D timed release hyaluronic acid, to provide the perfect solution for dry, dehydrated skin. It is said to prolong the effect of hyaluronic acid, providing up to 24 hours of moisture that penetrates deep into the skin.
Priced at RM21.10 for 20ml.
My thoughts:
Reading all the info on the packaging seems a little too good to be true! It brings us the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid, such as those found in aesthetics to maintain moisture levels on our faces! Sounds like a dream come true for severely dehydrated skin like mine!
When I first put this mask on, my first impression was this sheet mask is too big for my face! The bottom mouth part keeps slipping off and I had to lie down so that the mask stays in place. It gave me a slight tingly sensation, which I don't really mind because most sheet masks react the same for me. This Hydraluron mask does not have any scent to it and the essence is transparent in colour. I let it sit on my face for a good 15 minutes before taking it off.
The results? I'm glad that there were NO redness on my face!! (Some tingly masks leave some redness due to my sensitive skin) However I don't really enjoy the minimal sticky feeling I get after that. The tacky feeling goes off after 10 minutes once my face is fully dry.
Did the product lived up to its hype?
I felt instant pump of deep hydration, yes. My face seemed to be glowing and feels baby soft. My pores have seem to become smaller too. The next morning post mask treat, I still felt that my face was still very much moisturized, unlike cheap hydrating masks that I used to try when it leaves my face back to its dehydrated state the next day. So long lasting moisturization - CHECKED!

Hydraluron Moisture Booster Serum
What it is:
A serum that contains pure form of hyaluronic acid, acts as a refreshing drink of water for your skin. It is 100% free from animal-derived raw materials and organic solvent remnants, ensuring the skin is fed with the purest and kindest ingredients for maximum skin benefits.

My thoughts:
The tube comes in a white tube and pink round cap, that it easy for displaying purposes on the table. It looks somewhat clinical and something like what a dermatologist would dispense to you if you have dreaded skin worries. Well, it does come from a brand with "laboratories" involved so it is aptly packaged I would say. I personally adapt to dermatological products better than luxury branded products, to tell you the truth. So packaging wise, it draws my attention even more since I have sensitive skin.
The content is liquidy transparent gel that looks somewhat like glue. However the texture is more runny than your normal glue and it doesn't leave any faint scent to it, which I like. Once applied onto my skin, it absorbs almost instantly, leaving my skin plumped and bouncy once again. I can apply the next step of my skincare without any wait time (perfect for those morning rush hours)!
As Paris B of My Women Stuff puts it simply, this is a serum and it must not replace your moisturizer. "The way it works is to attract moisture and if you don’t apply any moisturiser over this, what is it supposed to attract then? Nothing, I’d warrant. So treat this as you will a serum. Apply it after cleansing and toning and before other serums, oils or moisturiser."
Within the course of the next few weeks using this serum religiously, I can say that skin has not looked better! (Even compared to one year ago, judging from pics, I kid you not!) I love how "young" my skin has become. What I love about this most is the price tag isn't too crazy to match its results!!!

My thoughts:
This moisturizer's packaging comes in a tub-pump where you just need to push down just once with two fingers, to give you just enough for the whole face coverage! I'm liking how genius the packaging is, especially where hygiene is concerned.
Some people have reported to have slight breakouts upon using this product, mainly caused by the high concentration of Hyaluronic Acid. So if you are one of those who have sensitive skin, be careful as this may break you out, like what it did to me. It is possible to have too much of a good thing afterall. So instead of using this twice a day everyday, I use this whenever my skin is feeling particularly dry; when I am planning to wear heavy makeup for the whole day and especially at night when my skin needs moisture the most.
What I like about this product is that the jelly formulation speeds up morning routine by absorbing quickly and wears well under my makeup. You know how sometimes thick moisturizers take about 10 minutes to be fully absorbed before being able to apply makeup!!
There is a beauty myth that oily skin don't need moisture; however oily skin may lack moisture, which causes the skin to produce more oil than usual, which is the main cause of oily skin (I used to have oily skin during my teen years, however after switching to hydration products, my skin has been leaning towards combination-dry skin).
