Aster Spring Sparkling Secrets

Hi my beauties!!

Approximately a month ago I had the opportunity to attend a very intimate session at 1 Utama with Aster Spring and YoungBlood Cosmetics. It was themed "Sparkling Secrets" and we were told to dress up in either red or sparkle outfits to coincide with the theme. I don't have red outifts so I decided to wear a little shiny gold on my skirt.

There were various activities lined up for all attendees, which promotes good health, skin and hair. Altogether there were a total of 8 stations, all of which we had to visit and gain a stamp, in order to complete the day's mission and claim our goodie bags!

Each station requires us to go through a task to target different areas, which ensures that we will be having that radiant "sparkle" by the end of the event. Since Aster Spring is owned by EIG (Esthethics International Group Berhad), this event also promotes other sister brands under the same roof. Let's get acquainted with them, shall we?

STATION #1
Photowall

This is an ice-breaker task, which is a simple picture snap and upload online. We were able to select our props and there were dedicated helpers to take a photo using our own cameras. So I settled with a star, which I'd like to believe I'm one!

STATION #2
Innertreats Zone

A simple juice bar was setted up for us to create our very own signature mocktail (all made of healthy enzyme juice). The drink is called Vitalzyme,  and here's what it is in a nutshell -

"Vitalzyme is a refreshing and tasty daily enzyme drink with a 100% natural blend of 120 fruits and plants. Combined with more than 54 types of friendly bacteria, each serving will provide you an array of potent antioxidants, organic acids and phytonutrients for daily wellness. It contains no alcohol, no pesticide, no preservative, no artificial coloring, no artificial flavoring and no added sugar. Armed with over 30 years of experience in the 180-day triple fermentation technology, Vitalzyme preserves the goodness of traditional, old-time methods of antique cypress barrels, while improving the quality of the enzymes with modern Japanese technology.
Each 15ml serving contains an amazingly high level of antioxidants."

We were given juice choices of Mango, Orange, Pineapple, Blackcurrent, Pure Berries, Lime, etc to mix and add on the enzyme to our drink. In addition, we could select our own garnish and decorations for the drink.

This is my very own Vitalzyme signature mocktail. Tastes so yummy, I SWEAR!!!

STATION #3
Skincare Zone

Next stop, we were given a mini survey form to fill in for skin analysis. Once it is filled, we were presented with a mini Dermalogica travel set skincare to take home.
(I have used Dermalogica prevously and I super love its effects on my skin, thus I went home a super happy girl! Pssstt... Dermalogica is awesome for sensitive skin too.)

Dermalogica products are free of common irritants and ingredients that could cause breakouts (including lanolin, SD alcohol, mineral oil, artificial colors and fragrances) that would improve skin health, and are only available from qualified skin therapy professionals.

STATION #4
Beauty Zone

This is where the fun part begins!

The highlight of this event was centered around YoungBlood's International Makeup Artists - Philip Luque. He's been with YoungBlood for over 9 years and has almost 30 years experience in the beauty field.

He was giving a talk about how he started, his switch to YoungBlood Cosmetics, and why he ultimately choose mineral makeup over others. Later on, he did a makeover demo onto a volunteer, to teach us application and techniques of applying mineral makeup.

There were products being passed around among guests and we got to see, smell and try the texture. And then came to the biggest task of the day -
Makeover the Talent!

So we were split into groups of 4, and each group had to makeover a girl using YoungBlood Cosmetics within 10 minutes! Of course, we all started to panic because 10 minutes is a very short duration!! But the catch was - each team member gets to contribute a makeup application to make things smoother! So it's all about communications and right decision making to win this challenge!

Unfortunately, my group didn't win and this was the winning group of the day!

STATION #5
Skin Fun Zone

This was pretty interesting as each of us were given 3 round shaped glow sticks to hook onto the prizes! They had interesting prizes from Aster Spring, YoungBlood, Dermalogica, Davines & Tisserand! If we managed to hook onto 3 prizes, we get to bring home all 3 prizes!

STATION #6
Relaxing Zone

This was located in a dimmed room, with Tisserand aromatherapy vaporizers inside. There was a masseuse waiting to give a quick neck and shoulder massage for every one that walks in. Here, we were given few choices of ointments to bring home too! I got myself something to soothe my on-and-off sinus, so I got Tisserand Menthol Breathe Aromatherapy Roller Ball to ease my breathing.

STATION #7
Haircare Zone

This station comprises lots and lots of Davines products.

"Founded in Parma, Italy in 1983 by the Bollati Family, Davines is one of the leading professional hair care brands sold across thousands of salons in more than 80 countries worldwide. Since the beginning, Davines has focused on crafting authentic quality products that are scientifically engineered to work and express Davines’ distinctive style and spirit.
Quality to Davines means having the freedom to create the best products with attention and respect for our environment, using high grade, natural ingredients, and applying scientific rigor to every product to guarantee customer safety.
Rather than conforming to the mainstream, Davines believes in the freedom to develop concepts and products that are original, authentic, and emotionally connected with people. The work is a thoughtful balance of substance and style, nature and science, people and spirit. This enables Davines to create what is called life-enhancing projects."
Here, we had a scalp scan and analysis to determine suitable products for haircare. Mine was categorized under Coloured Treated Hair so I received NOUNOU Nourishing Illuminating Shampoo with chestnut milk.

STATION #8
Skin Fitness Zone

To be honest, I skipped this zone because I was running late for another appointment that day and there was a long queue of ladies waiting for this skin fitness massage. Apparently what it does is, it massages and activates your skin so that your skin is "fit" once again (think of it like a skin exercise!).

*    *   *   *   *

All in all, it was a day filled with awesome activities and lovely people! I recognize almost everyone invited (most of them are celebrities or Insta-famous!) and had a great time bonding with fellow friends. (Too bad we didn't manage to take a group pic, else it would have been nice!)

I would love to thank Aster Spring for extending this invite to me and I personally love every effort made to allow us to feel welcomed!

Sidenote:
Oh btw, not being paid to say this but I have been to Aster Spring for facials and it has been the
BEST FACIAL EXPERIENCE, EVER!
Hands down!
ω(=^・^=)ω

I'm not a facial girl, but seriously, the level of hygiene is TOP NOTCH and level of professionalism is there. No pushy salesperson nor obnoxious ones. Therapists are very attentive and they treat your face with the highest care. Price may be on the high side but let me assure you that your money is very well spent.

That's all from me now, will blog about my facial experience when I get the chance!
Till we speak again my beauties!
